A Faithful Servant

The end of all is near,
You need to practice self-control;
So be careful to be sincere,
For the protection of your soul.

Make sure that you keep your mind clear,
So that you are able to pray;
And it will be calming your fear,
While living throughout your day.

Above all else love each other,
Because the love will cover sin;
A servant to one another,
Being faithful with love within.

Welcome one another as guests,
Without complaining or ill-fate;
Tolerate anything that detests,
And being patient as you wait.

You must be a good director,
Using the gift that God gave you;
And never be a rejecter,
Of Scripture verses known as true.

As with to each gift is received,
Minister as a good steward;
Show your faith as you have believed,
Serving strong speaking of the Lord.

Whoever speaks must speak His Word,
And believing in what is said;
Say to others so it is heard,
That the truth will wake up the dead.

Whoever serves must serve with strength,
God supplies so in every way;
To persevere at any length,
Receiving glory and not stray.

Glory and power is of Christ,
Belonging to Him forever;
Grow strong and not to be enticed,
By Satan who will be clever.
