Inside Out?

Date:

Who has believed our message,
To whom has the Lord been revealed;
And has been building us a bridge,
After the heart has been unsealed.

He grew in front of a young tree,
Like a root out of the dry ground;
He had no form or majesty,
That would make us look to astound.

He had nothing in appearance,
That would make us desire Him;
But thought to be interference,
Making the powerful feel grim.

He was despised and rejected,
To be placed as the cornerstone;
And He was mocked and dejected,
In taking the seat on the throne.

He was a man with much sorrow.
Was familiar with suffering;
But held up hope for tomorrow,
That the church could be anchoring.

Despised as an outsider,
As they turned away their faces;
Had been seen as a divider,
That one another disgraces.

We considered Him to be not,
As worth that much of anything;
Little did we know what we got,
Of the new life that He could bring.

He carried our sorrows and grief,
Suffering so much for us all;
But in a state of disbelief,
We left Him go and take the fall.

He was wounded for our acts,
Crushed for our rebellious sin;
Yet many still reject the facts,
How corrupted they are within.

We are all straying like some sheep,
Since we are having so much doubt;
If not repented before we sleep,
We will be burning inside out

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
