The Opposite

Allow no one to judge you,
For what you will eat or drink;
The way you want to construe,
About the way that you think.

But observe the holy days,
Along with daily worship;
Remember the Lord always,
To keep your relationship.

These are the shadow of things,
Having to come from the past;
For whatever that it brings,
But the body that has cast.

Allow no one who delights,
In false worship of angels;
Do not deserve to have sights,
On avoiding the devils.

Someone with a sinful mind,
Is giving endless details;
With arrogance are not kind,
And eventually fails.

He does not hold on to Christ,
But Christ makes your body grow;
Helps you from being enticed,
So that you righteously know.

So if you have died with Christ,
To the way of worldly things;
Those things have been sacrificed,
For what righteous living brings.

Do not become influenced,
By what the people tell you;
They are not fair and balanced,
As the way Christ would construe.

So please handle this not,
Do not either taste or touch;
Remembering what Christ bought,
Because God loves you so much.

All of these things are dealing,
With objects used anyway;
But wisdom is appealing,
To the one who will obey.
