Be Patient

Date:

Be patient till the Lord comes soon,
See how farmers wait for their crops;
Until you see the harvest moon,
And reaping after the rain stops.

Be patient and give not up hope,
Because the Lord will soon be here;
Live each day be able to cope,
Not being overwhelmed by fear.

Stop complaining of each other,
Or you will be condemned by God;
Treat with respect to your brother,
Realize the Judge sees you are flawed.

Model yourself like the prophets,
Who spoke in the name of the Lord;
Do not be liberal puppets,
That the Word of God is ignored.

They were patient when they suffered,
Considered blessed when they endure;
As powerful prayer has buffered,
Giving an avenue to cure.

Above all things, take not an oath,
Anything in Heaven or earth;
Concentrate on spiritual growth,
For displaying of your true worth.

If having trouble start to pray,
If you are happy sing a song;
The prayers that your church elders say,
Will stop the troubles to prolong.

Prayers having faith will save the sick,
Allowing the Lord to cure them;
Have patience if it is not quick,
Does not mean for God to condemn.

If you sin you are forgiven,
So admit it by confessing;
Allowing yourself to Heaven,
Where you will receive your blessing.

The appeal of a righteous man,
Avails in much of its working;
Fitting what God has in His plan,
Of the future what is lurking.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
