For Christ to Lead Us

Date:

I am surprised that you,
So quickly desert Christ;
For I have told all true,
Why He was sacrificed.

He called you in His grace,
To follow the Good News;
In wanting to embrace,
While you see His views.

But what some people call,
As the Gospel is not;
Is causing you to fall,
Into a trap they got.

They are confusing you,
Distorting the Gospel;
Not telling what is true,
To all of the people.

Whoever will tell you,
Some good news not the same;
They give a worldly view,
That they want to proclaim.

It is mere blasphemy,
And the Lord should condemn;
They are an enemy,
Better in hell for them.

Even if he is one,
Of us that has given;
He was not from the Son,
As sent down from Heaven.

I am telling again,
What was told in the past;
Christ experienced pain,
So you live everlast.

So I say this to win,
The approval from God;
Confession of your sin,
As you honor and laud.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
