Lavish!

Date:

The Father has given us His love,
Because He loves us very much;
With blessings flowing from above,
While giving His gentle touch.

For we are called children of God,
That is exactly what we are;
So we should just honor and laud,
Each of us as His shining star.

But the world does not recognize,
Because they just worship false gods;
Since they see not through the disguise,
That exposes them being frauds.

Now that we are children of God,
What we will be is not clear yet;
Other than being cleansed where flawed,
And we should not trouble or fret.

We do know when Christ does appear,
We will be exactly like Him;
And having no worry or fear,
Rather with His vigor and vim.

So all who have this confidence,
In Jesus Christ keep themselves pure;
As their Brother in their defense,
For keeping them safe and secure.

Those who are living sinful lives,
Are then disobeying the Lord;
Will be judged when Jesus arrives,
Because His Law has been ignored.

You know that when Christ has appeared,
For taking away our sin;
So who worships and have revered,
The Holy Spirit cleans within.

Those who already live in Christ,
No longer will they be sinning;
For they are not being enticed,
Since desires are not winning.

Those who lavish themselves in sin,
Have never seen or known Christ;
But see dissolving of their skin,
As their bodies are sacrificed.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
