How long am I to cry?
Only silence I hear;
And I just wonder why,
Which causes me to fear.
Violence surrounds me,
But God does not rescue;
Everywhere I see,
What I cannot construe.
So why must I witness,
Evil and wrongdoing;
Watching this wickedness,
So many pursuing.
Quarrels and disputes rise,
Violence in my view;
It is not very wise,
To distort what is true.
His teaching has been blunt,
Justice not carried out;
No choice only to punt,
Because of so much doubt.
Wicked people surround,
Those who follow the Law;
Anarchy is abound,
Through their perverted flaw.
Look among the nations,
Amazed and astonished;
Because of migrations,
Christians are admonished.
Something needs to be done,
What we will not believe;
A pathway that will stun,
Stops foes not to receive.
They march throughout the earth,
As a reckless nation;
Taking all our worth,
Causing a mutation.
They terrify with fear,
With justice of their kind;
O Lord, please make it clear,
Help me to ease my mind.
