The Bible

You know all about my teaching,
As well as my way of living;
My purpose in my out-reaching,
And generous in my giving.

You know I endure and patient,
Having a faith with hope and love;
To the Lord I am diligent,
For the Scriptures sent from above.

You know about the suffering,
In which has happened unto me;
But God gave enough buffering,
Along with the insight to see.

I endured those persecutions,
Because the Lord had rescued me;
Before any executions,
Could be authorized by decree.

Some try to live a godly life,
By believing in Jesus Christ;
But are persecuted with strife,
Because they have not sacrificed.

For their faith has become too weak,
As phony preachers will mislead;
Misguiding them on how to seek,
As evil people sow their seed.

Things seems to go from bad to worse,
After the people are misled;
Since they no longer read the verse,
The reason why Jesus had bled.

Continue in what you have learned,
In the Bible that remains true;
Remembering what you have earned,
Of knowledge and wisdom to you.

From infancy that you have known,
That God has equipped as approved;
The lifestyle He does condone,
And have your transgressions removed.
