Time

Date:

God has taught me since I was young,
As I still talk of what He has done;
Praises flowing out of my tongue,
Of accomplishments of the Son.

Even with being old and gray,
I pray He does not forsake me;
Let me live long enough to say,
Of the miracles I could see.

For what His strength has accomplished,
Of His power why I believe;
Through Him what has been established,
Through their faith what they will receive.

His righteousness orbits Heaven,
Because He has done such great things;
It benefits us as given,
Of all the goodness that it brings.

The Lord has made me to endure,
The trials and tribulations;
And assured me about a cure,
For desires and temptations.

He restores my life as to live,
Bringing back from the depths of earth;
With salvation that He does give,
Reviving into a new birth.

He comforts to make me greater,
Giving confidence to survive;
Walking the path that is straighter,
And be able to stay alive.

Because of all His faithfulness,
I will still give Him thanks and praise;
All because of my gratefulness,
In living through all of my days.

I will make music and sing songs,
For putting the truth deep within;
His forgiveness wipes out the wrongs,
Helping me through His discipline.

My tongue and lips will talk all day,
Of His righteousness to proclaim;
My downfall in disgrace to stray,
Making me shine where there was shame.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
