Watching You

Date:

Come dear children, listen to me,
As to teach you fearing the Lord;
Giving you insight as to see,
For your living in one accord.

Which one of you wants a full life?
Who wants to enjoy the good things?
Enabled to endure the strife,
And the repercussions it brings.

Keep your tongue from the evil talk,
The deceitful things your lips speak;
So find a path of light to walk,
With the righteousness that you seek.

Depart from evil and do good,
Seeking out peace and pursue it;
By doing the things as you should,
The Lord rewards for your merit.

The eyes of the Lord are on you,
His ears will also hear your cry;
Your crisis He will help you through,
And drying the tears from your eye.

Those who do evil He confronts,
Getting rid of their existence;
With no more of their knavish stunts,
For avoiding their persistence.

The righteous cried and the Lord heard,
Rescuing them from their concerns;
For there is promise in His Word,
That He will render aid who yearns.

The Lord is near to humbled hearts,
Saving those whose spirits are beat;
Remains faithful to who imparts,
So the gloominess can deplete.

We all have many afflictions,
By the Lord rescues you from all;
Cures you from any addictions,
That might be causing you to fall.

The Lord protects the living soul,
Against evil He does condemn;
And always be there to console,
Healing the wounds injured by them.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
