Winners

What does it mean to fear the Lord?
Is it the same for your brothers?
To show He is loved and adored,
Do you try to persuade others?

God already knows what we are,
So I hope that you do know Him;
Confessing to remove the scar,
As to get His spiritual vim.

I am not trying to show you,
My qualifications dear friend;
Just for giving a change in view,
So that your attitude will bend.

I believe to proclaim out loud,
As well as giving you a chance;
And enabled for being proud,
So you are able to advance.

Then you can answer to respond,
And having a good appearance;
Of the future that goes beyond,
All the worldly interference.

But if I were acting crazy,
Would it be merely all for God;
Or would I be downright lazy,
While acting just like a clod.

It is the love of Christ that guides,
Being convinced about that fact;
For as long as someone abides,
And not just putting on an act.

It is proclaimed in the Gospel,
Christ had died for everyone;
Since one man died for all people,
As the Father gave us His Son.

While alive He felt the strife,
So we could then live much longer,
The Father brought Him back to life,
So our faith could be stronger.

No longer a human point of view,
As well as all the worldly things;
As a new creature we construe,
Only about what Heaven brings.
