Yes Means No

Date:

I consider the suffering,
Insignificant to compare;
That the Lord causes buffering,
To the glory that we all share.

The glory that will be revealed,
That Heaven eagerly awaits;
The information that is sealed,
His children walking through the gates.

Creation that was subjected,
Frustrated but not by its choice;
Bringing hope and not rejected,
And allowing us to rejoice.

It also is setting us free,
From the slavery to decay;
With having the insight to see,
Temptation that will make us stray.

All creation has been groaning,
Having the pains of childbirth;
Surely God will be condoning,
Making the new Heaven and earth.

But not only creation groans,
Because we have had His Spirit;
Comforting anyone who moans,
Since adopted we inherit.

We groan waiting for adoption,
Freeing our bodies from sin;
Being cleansed from the corruption,
Leaving plenty of hope within.

We were saved with this hope in mind,
If hope is something that we see;
It is not hope and we are blind,
For hope is the future to be.

Who would hope for what can be seen,
Rather a faith not visible;
You cannot hope for what has been,
But to come that is spiritual.

His Spirit helps where we are weak,
Since we do not know how to pray;
Guiding us for which way to seek,
When we truly trust and obey.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
