Your Purpose

The end of all things is near,
As we can see many signs;
While some may dread or fear,
The hope for another shines.

Start practicing self control,
Keeping your heart and mind clear;
Praying with your heart and soul,
With thoughts spoken as sincere.

Love one another warmly,
For love covers many sins;
When treating others humbly,
Since love also disciplines.

Welcome each other as guests,
Remember to stay humble;
Treating nobody as pests,
Do not complain or grumble.

You are all good managers,
Of the gift God has given;
But also as messengers,
For the Gospel from Heaven.

The gift God has given you,
So that you can serve others;
To be able to construe,
As your sisters and brothers.

Whoever speaks of His Word,
Must also put the Lord first;
Remembering what was heard,
To hear more is what you thirst.

Whoever serves must with strength,
That God supplies many ways;
To persevere any length,
Following life through the maze.

God receives glory through Christ,
As well as through your own deeds;
For the times you sacrificed,
Forgoing your selfish needs.

Glory and power belong,
To our Lord Jesus Christ;
Like your purpose keeps you strong,
Resisting being enticed.
