Controlling Appetites

Although I am free from people,
I am captive to the Gospel;
For making myself as a slave,
In winning others from the grave.

I became a Jew for the Jews,
To convince them that they should choose;
And subject to what Moses taught,
Comparing to what Jesus sought.

I did this to win them although,
The negativity they know;
Time is still being on my side,
For convincing them to abide.

I became just like a person,
Knows there is a job to be done;
But the teachings they do not know,
I am stating and want to show.

I became like a person weak,
In faith to win so I could seek;
I have become everything,
To save at least what Christ will bring.

I do all of this for the sake,
Of the Good News what it will make;
Offering you of a new life,
For coping and endure the strife.

The promise that will give you hope,
Helping you through so you can cope;
For I am here running a race,
In order to winning His grace.

So I am opening my eyes,
Because of the fact I realize;
Only one runner gets the prize,
Giving me insight to be wise.

The training you enter is strict,
Others will try to contradict;
But toughen the body and mind,
So no to be spiritually blind.
