You Cannot Hide

Date:

Please listen if you understand,
Open your ears and hear these words;
For knowing what God does demand,
For avoiding any hazards.

So should anyone who might hate,
Justice is allowed to govern;
They just might be sealing their fate,
Because of things they did not learn.

Would you ever condemn the one,
Who might be righteous and mighty;
And shining like the noon day sun,
Warmth from love that is so brightly.

Should anyone say to a king,
That is humble and is noble;
With a extramarital fling,
As a good for nothing scoundrel.

Some nobles are wicked people,
It will grant no special favor;
If they do not know the Gospel,
For salvation from the Savior.

Prefer not the rich over poor,
For the hands of God had made all;
Lust and greed only looks for more,
As their failures will make them fall.

They die in the midst of the night,
Some have seizures and pass away;
While others lose their insight,
And causing them to go astray.

The eyes of God having always,
To see every step we take;
And knowing when anyone strays,
Every failure and mistake.

There is no darkness or shadow,
Where a troublemaker can hide;
When they are failing to follow,
After they have cheated and lied.

But God is good and He is fair,
Divine judgment when you confess;
When you kneel down saying a prayer,
He is more than willing to bless

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
