A Precious Thing

Today I offer you,
Life and prosperity;
If you will remain true,
To our Deity.

Or you maybe choose death,
Along with destruction;
No need to hold your breath,
With sinful abduction.

This is what I command,
To love the Lord your God;
Praise Him with voice and hand,
As you honor and laud.

Follow His directions,
And obey His commands;
There will be objections,
By some throughout the lands.

But you will be living,
As your Lord God will bless;
He will be forgiving,
When you truly confess.

Your heart might turn away,
Maybe you might not hear;
When tempted to go stray;
Losing your sense of fear.

For you might be tempted,
To bow to other gods;
Honor not exempted,
From worshipping the frauds.

As I tell you today,
That you will be destroyed;
Putting trust to obey,
Evil that is decoyed.

So I call on Heaven,
As a witness today;
The love God has given,
Follow what He will say.
