A Way of Life

You were once dead because of sin,
You followed the ways of this place;
And it corrupted you within,
Not able to find any grace.

Because your life was a failure,
For following the deception;
Rather than knowing the Savior,
Of a heavenly perception.

This ruler continues the task,
In those who refuse to obey;
While he keeps wearing a mask,
When urging you to go astray.

All of us at one time have been,
With those who follow desires;
Were tempted time and time again,
To light the corrupted fires.

We did as the corrupted thought,
All because of our nature;
Into the darkness that was sought,
Of the sweet taste of your rapture.

We deserve God to give His wrath,
The same as for everyone;
But His mercy blocks its path,
Through sacrificing of His Son.

God is rich in mercy and grace,
Because of His great love for you;
As He is willing to embrace,
With a love that will remain true.

We were dead but God brought us back,
To life along with Jesus Christ;
Giving faith and hope that we lack,
Helping us when we are enticed.

God saved you through acts of kindness,
As a gift from God being saved;
No longer you have the blindness,
As the corrupted sin enslaved.

God has made us for what we are,
Living a life that no one will doubt;
As confession will wipe the scar,
What your way of life is about.
