I had passed on to you,
What I got from the Lord;
For I say what is true,
And cannot be ignored.
Whoever eats the bread,
And has drunk from the cup;
Is from the one that bled,
And His Spirit you sup.
I say about His death,
Until the Lord returns;
Life beyond the last breath,
For salvation one earns.
Whoever drinks and eats,
In an improper way;
Is a person who cheats,
Constantly goes astray.
An unworthy manner,
For they display their guilt;
To carry a banner,
For the sin they have built.
They are responsible,
For the body and blood;
And held accountable,
Dragging it through the mud.
So look in the mirror,
Examining your past;
What you cherish dearer,
The skeletons you cast.
For Judgment Day comes soon,
Judge yourself if how true;
Too late if the blood moon,
Not as the chosen few.
Many of you are weak,
As well as being sick;
Because of what you seek,
Becomes old very quick.
When the Lord judges us,
He ensures discipline;
Giving punishment thus,
Not condemns us for sin.
