Body and Soul

Please show your appreciation,
For leaders that are amongst you;
Show respect to explanation,
On anything that you must do.

Give to them the love and respect,
Thinking very highly of them;
Be not ignorant or reject,
Being rebellious to condemn.

Live in peace with one another,
Because of the work that you do;
Helping your sister and brother,
With the problems of each day through.

Instruct who are not living right,
Those who are discouraged give cheer;
Help the weak guide them to the light,
The one true God they need to fear.

Avenge no one by doing wrong,
Only pay back as what is good;
Godly deeds is keeping you strong,
For doing to others what you should.

Rejoice and be joyful always,
While praying without ceasing;
With positive thoughts all of your days,
Doing for God what is pleasing.

Give thanks whether for good or bad,
Because it is the will of God;
Smile even with something sad.
Through Jesus you honor and laud.

The Holy Spirit lights fire,
Never attempt to put it out;
When enticed by your desire,
You will be starting to show doubt.

Do not despise what God revealed,
Rather test to everything;
Before your fate suddenly sealed,
What the Day of Judgment may bring.

Avoid evil of any kind,
Keep blameless in body and soul;
That your spirit with heart and mind,
Allowing God be in control
