Suppose a righteous person,
Turns away from doing right;
For evil sent to prison,
That the lawyers set their sight.
All of the disgusting things,
That a wicked man can do;
The sentence that the judge brings,
For punishment that is due.
Will he live or will he die,
For the right things he has done;
Is it perjury for his lie?
Not killing using a gun.
He will die because of sin,
So is it not being fair;
Since he was stinking of gin,
He should be given the chair.
Is the way of God unfair?
When righteous men go astray,
For confessing in your prayer,
Whenever you disobey.
If you stray from doing right,
And start to do evil things;
God will cast you from the light,
Because of what evil brings.
Things he has done that is fair,
And what is right he will live;
Confessing the wrongs in prayer,
God is willing to forgive.
So which way is fair and just,
The ways of the Lord or man;
Of which judgment can you trust?
And having the better plan.
Change the way you act and think,
Turn away from your rudeness;
Stop the poison that you drink,
Overflowing with lewdness.
Get yourself a new heart and mind,
I do not want you to die;
Show compassion and be kind,
Of those your see that do cry.
