The Lord did speak His Word,
For to stand by the gate;
Where the Gospel is heard,
And He will compensate.
Hear the Word of the Lord,
All you people of God;
Let it not be ignored,
As to honor and laud.
Who should go through the gates,
For to worship the Lord;
Let no one in that hates,
Just those who have adored.
Change the way that you live,
And He will live with you;
God willing to forgive,
If confess to be true.
If you do change your way,
And treat each other fair;
Do not begin to stray,
Rather learn how to share.
Do not try to oppress,
Foreigners or widows;
Tell God as you confess,
So that His blessings grows.
Follow not other gods,
They lead to destruction;
For being merely frauds,
Tempted with seduction.
The Lord will let you live,
In the land that He gave;
Through blessings He will give,
Keeping you from the grave.
It is a lie that helps not,
If you murder and steal;
Only truth can be sought,
That His secrets reveal.
When you are called by name,
You must stand before God;
Worship as you proclaim,
Showing honor and laud.
