I took my refuge in the Lord,
So how can you say that to me;
Of not being in one accord,
You are merely too blind to see.
Things that you said that I have heard,
Just like you are lighting a fuse;
Flee to your mountain like a bird,
Spreading not rumors to accuse.
Wicked people have bent their bows,
They set arrows against their string;
Aiming at the people they chose,
For the righteousness that they bring.
They shoot in the dark right at them,
For their motives are too decent;
To hang from a tree to condemn,
For agony as to lament.
When our foundations of life,
Are undermined by tyranny;
It causes a chaotic strife,
Taking away the liberty.
What can a righteous person do?
Since you see not any relief;
When government dictates to you,
And going against your belief.
God is in His holy temple,
While His throne is up in Heaven;
His eyes are watching His people,
Children of Adam they examine.
The Lord tests righteous people,
But hates the ones who are evil;
Rage is not part of the Gospel,
Violence is of the devil.
God rains down fire and brimstone,
On the evil and the wicked;
As the scorching wind has been blown,
For the sin they are addicted.
The Lord is righteous as always,
Loving a righteous way of life;
Anyone who trusts and obeys,
Are assured to cope in the strife.
