Dwelling Place of God

Date:

I saw a new Heaven and earth,
As the first ones had disappeared;
For now I have seen a new birth,
The glory of God is revered.

I saw the light of a new dawn,
Everything looking pretty;
While the sea now has been gone,
As I saw the holy city.

Jerusalem dressed like a bride,
Preparing to meet her husband;
And in the process to abide,
Whatever her groom will command.

I heard a loud voice from the throne,
That God is living with mankind;
No longer will man be alone,
And man will be able to find.

No longer will we ever roam,
Because we will be His people;
Since God will be making His home,
As we worship in His temple.

He will wipe the tears from your eyes,
There will not be any more death;
For our God is very wise,
And is helping you through each breath.

There will not be any more grief,
No more sorrow, crying or pain;
Because the strength of your belief,
Will match all the love that you gain.

For He is making it all new,
As the beginning and the end;
Since His words are faithful and true,
While being your God and friend.

The end to all toils and strife,
For He will be giving you drink;
Water from the fountain of life,
With all the compassion to think.

You will be the children of God,
No longer as a slave to sin;
Being cured where you were once flawed,
As cleansed and purified within

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
