Do you have any confidence,
Getting any comfort from love;
Have you seen any evidence,
Your relationship from above.
Do you have any sympathy,
Any compassion for others;
Sorrow from when they take pity,
Mishaps by sisters and brothers.
Fill them with joy changing their mood,
And keeping one purpose in mind;
By having the same attitude,
That Jesus did in being kind.
Do not show selfish ambition,
By trying to be conceited;
Have a spiritual cognition,
So darkness can be defeated.
Humbly think of any others,
As being better than yourself;
Helping your sisters and brothers,
Putting desires on the shelf.
Place any of their interests first,
Prior to any of your own;
Be sure to be quenching their thirst,
The attitude Christ would condone.
Although He was equal to God,
And was formed within His image;
Never any blemish or flawed,
He never did take advantage,
He took the form of a servant,
Becoming more like other men;
Living a life of endearment,
Till the moment they did condemn.
He humble Himself to obey,
Till the point of death on the cross;
Never once did He ever stray,
Or justly tried to cause the loss.
This was so every knee could bow,
And confess that Jesus is Lord;
Every heart and mind allow,
Never letting Him be ignored.
