Everything We Need

The divine power of God,
Has given everything;
Guaranteed never flawed,
Of anything it would bring.

This power has been given,
Through knowledge needed for life;
To us from up in Heaven,
To cope with toils and strife.

God has given His promise,
That of the highest value;
Giving comfort and solace,
For both Gentile and Jew.

Through promises you will share,
Within a divine nature;
Resisting a sinful dare,
By being a new creature.

You must add integrity,
To your knowledge and wisdom;
Build faith through ability,
With the help of His Kingdom.

Through knowledge add self-control,
Which strengthens your endurance;
Letting His Spirit in your soul,
As you build perseverance.

Endurance adds godliness,
Godliness adds Christian love;
Which will bring you blessedness,
From the Father up above.

These qualities will increase,
Demonstrating your knowledge;
Of the Lord that will not cease,
Whenever you acknowledge.

Try not to be shortsighted,
For you have been cleansed from sin;
God would not be delighted,
Forgetting changes that have been.

So use more of an effort,
Remembering of His call;
Not to vacate or desert,
From His grace to make you fall.
