Forgive and Forget

The Word of life lives since the start,
That has been of God from the heart;
We have heard it and we have seen,
What is here now and what has been.

We have observed as well as felt,
The existence where we have dwelt;
Because of this life has revealed,
What some claim a mystery sealed.

We have seen it to testify,
Which many would rather deny;
Eternal life has been exposed,
Because the Father has disclosed.

This is life we have seen and heard,
That has been spoken in the Word;
Starting a new relationship,
In the blood of Christ that you sip.

A relationship through the Son,
To the Father being as One;
Along with the Holy Spirit,
Who ensures what you inherit.

I write being filled with the joy,
That Satan can never destroy;
A message heard from Christ to you,
Sealed with the love that remains true.

God is light and darkness is not,
Where the truth able to be sought;
You lie if you live in the dark,
If God is where you may embark.

But if you do live in the light,
You have favor within His sight;
After confession of your sin,
Forgiveness cleanses you within.

You deceive yourself if you doubt,
And know not what truth is about;
But if you confess what you did wrong,
You will stay spiritually strong.

God is faithful and will forgive,
So you can eternally live;
When you have the faith to believe,
You will be able to receive.

If you say that you never sinned,
Then you have not been disciplined;
And are calling God a liar,
You go to the Lake of Fire.
