I saw something under the sun,
A race that no one yet has won;
By fast runners or of heroes,
Possessing wings upon their toes.
Wise people do not have the food,
To nourish themselves as they brood;
Intelligent folks have no wealth,
That ensures them of a good health.
Skilled folks get no special treatment,
For the type of life they commit;
But when events overtake them,
They see who is first to condemn.
No one knows when it is their time,
For going and pay for their crime;
Like fish that are caught in a net,
We know not when we pay that debt.
Like birds that were caught in a snare,
Slim chance with a wing and a prayer;
Of ever again being free,
Breaking loose so that they can flee.
I saw examples of wisdom,
Flow from the heavenly kingdom;
It made an impression on me,
As it gave an insight to see.
A few soldiers in a small town,
That a king with a golden crown;
Decided on an attack plan,
And for killing every man.
But a wise man who was unknown,
Was ignored as he set the tone;
How the town really could be saved,
As the town folk badly behaved.
No one remembers than poor man,
As the king achieved in his plan;
But wisdom is better than strength,
To persevere at any length.
So you should pay more attention,
Wise men with a good intention;
Wisdom is better during war,
When a sinner breaks down your door.
