Giving to Jesus

What causes quarrels and fights,
Caused by selfish desires;
The red appears in your sights,
Gleaming ember from fires.

You want what you do not got,
Then get a license to kill;
Determined for what you sought,
For a desire to fill.

So you quarrel and you fight,
But you never pray for them;
The wrong reason flexing might,
Your own pleasure will condemn.

Loving pleasure is evil,
In a world with hate towards God;
Rather worship the devil,
That thinks the Lord is a fraud.

If Satan would be your friend,
Then you are opposing God;
And you are nearing the end,
Being incurably flawed.

God opposes arrogance,
But is kind to the humble;
Confessing their allegiance,
He ensures you not stumble.

Place yourself under the Lord,
As you resist the devil;
Showing that God is adored,
Godly pleasures will fulfill.

Clean your life and clear your mind,
Stop being as a sinner;
Doubt not in Scripture you find,
For becoming a winner.

Be miserable and cry,
Turning your joy into gloom;
Never to be asking why,
His Spirit will help you bloom.

Humble yourself in His sight,
He will be exalting you;
Making your future look bright,
As long as you remain true
