Grace and Mercy

Date:

At the proper time,
When we were helpless;
Christ died for the crime,
That we should confess.

Jesus Christ died for,
Ungodly people;
As caught by the lure,
Snubbing the Gospel.

Someone who would die,
For others is rare;
Many wonder why,
Of love He would share.

Christ died for each one,
Who are still sinners;
For God gave His Son,
So we become winners.

Since Christ gave His blood,
God gave approval;
Baptized in the flood,
Deathly removal.

Christ saves from the wrath,
Kinship is restored;
We walk down His path,
Being our Lord.

We can continue,
To brag about God;
Proclaim what is true,
To honor and laud.

Sin came on the earth,
By one who came first;
Corrupting each birth,
Causing you to thirst.

So death came from sin,
Starting before laws;
Without discipline,
To understand flaws.

Death ruled at this time,
Till God shed His grace;
As Christ paid for crime,
So He could embrace.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
