Growing Time

Date:

If someone is trapped doing wrong,
You should go render him some aid;
Let not his agony prolong,
And never try to be afraid.

Help that person to turn away,
From going down the evil path;
Showing him where he gone astray,
Subjected to God and His wrath.

Be sure to be gentle and kind,
But know that you are not exempted;
Purify thoughts in your own mind,
So that you are never tempted.

Carry his burdens on your back,
As you follow what Christ had taught;
Guide him through for what he does lack,
Helping him with forgiveness sought.

If someone thinks that you are great,
But you know you are really not;
Make sure that you will set them straight,
And you only do what Christ taught.

Examine yourself to be true,
You can be proud of your own deeds;
Responsible in what you do,
In helping others with their needs.

Teach the Word of God to the sheep,
Share the Gospel so they can know;
Remember you can only reap,
On the amount that you do sow.

You cannot make a fool of God,
So make no mistake about it;
Continue to honor and laud,
Remember what you inherit.

To sow in a corrupt nature,
In a diabolical field;
You cannot be a new creature,
When you are harvesting your yield.

We must always live the right way,
To receive life everlasting;
Always we must trust and obey,
Continue in prayer and fasting.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
