O Lord, You are my God,
At dawn, I search for You;
As to honor and laud,
And for remaining true.
For You, my soul does thirst,
For You, my body longs;
Because I have felt cursed,
By others of their wrongs.
I live in a parched land,
Where there is no water;
Only with sinking sand,
For my son and daughter.
So I look unto You,
Within this holy place;
Helping me to construe,
Blessing me with Your grace.
Your power and glory,
With praise upon my lips;
Thinking of Your story,
To keep You in my grips.
For Your mercy and grace,
Always better than life;
When I feel Your embrace,
Protecting me from strife.
So as long as I live,
I thank You from my heart;
Willingness to forgive,
Through Your Word I impart.
I will lift up my hands,
For praying in Your name;
And honor Your commands,
That Your Word does proclaim.
You satisfy my soul,
While my mouth does sing;
Praising You is my goal,
For to Your Word I cling.
As I lie on my bed,
While remembering You;
With all that has been said,
Has favor in His view.
