The faith surrounding hope,
As we live through each day;
Gives us the means to cope,
As we trust and obey.
We must get rid of things,
That are slowing us down;
The temptation it brings,
Easily make you frown.
For sin loves to distract,
Tempting us with pleasure;
Letting us to react,
Like trash was a treasure.
We have to run the race,
As we never give up;
Keeping a steady pace,
For the victory cup.
We must focus on Christ,
The source and our goal;
Faith that is sacrificed,
For an eternal soul.
Jesus saw joy ahead,
So He endured the cross;
Ignored disgrace instead,
Unconcerned for His loss.
He took His rightful place,
The most high in Heaven;
Upon the throne of grace,
His Father had given.
You must think about Christ,
Who endured the sinners;
To die for those enticed,
So we could be winners.
You struggle against sin,
But they have not killed you;
Snubbing evil to win,
So that you remain true.
Pay attention to God,
When He disciplines you;
Confess in being flawed,
Taking time to construe.
