Praise the Father of our Lord,
Great mercy giving us new birth;
So we can be in one accord,
While living on planet earth.
We have been born into new life,
In confidence which is alive;
Although we have to cope with strife,
Until Jesus Christ does arrive.
A new life that we have been born,
Which does have an inheritance;
Being saved while we sojourn,
That is building your confidence.
It cannot be destroyed or fade,
Corrupted or formed any way;
Never that will it be decayed,
And will never cause you to stray.
It will be given up in Heaven,
As it is guarded by the Lord;
Once you enter it is given,
A gift that cannot be ignored.
Through your faith for a salvation,
That is ready to be revealed;
At the time of celebration,
When the end of time will be unsealed.
You will be so extremely glad,
About these things in the future;
No longer a need to be sad,
For becoming a new creature.
Even though you have to suffer,
Of different kinds of trouble;
The Lord will help you to buffer,
As you sift through all the rubble.
The purpose of this is to test,
Of your faith like genuine gold;
So precious in doing your best,
As the years and days will unfold.
Although you never have seen Christ,
You always show love and respect;
The faith why He was sacrificed,
With belief you do not reject.
