Not all of you should be teachers,
But should always be out-reachers;
Because those who teach will be judged,
By someone else who have begrudged.
Everyone will make mistakes,
And once in a while forsakes;
If no mistakes while you speak,
Then is perfect in being meek.
He would be able to control,
Emotions of his very soul;
A bit in the mouth to obey,
For guiding not to go astray.
Ships are in need a way to steer,
They have a rudder in the rear;
They are big driven by strong wind,
Like someone being disciplined.
The wind and rudder always show,
Where the pilot would want to go;
In the same way sounds from the tongue,
Spoken direction what is flung.
Fire can start from a little flame,
Merely as the tongue will proclaim;
Speaking evil or speaking good,
Blazing fires misunderstood.
Spoken evil will corrupt you,
Of false statements rather than true;
The tongue causes evil desires,
As ignited by the fires.
No man can ever tame the tongue,
It comes from poison in the lung;
Only mercy from God can tame,
Through His Word hearing to proclaim.
With our tongues we praise the Lord,
And the Father He is adored;
I will speak love but others will curse,
About the contents of each verse.
Cleanse the filthy water that flows,
To the ears of people who chose;
For producing the sour fruit,
As pure water reaches their root.
