The commandment that God gives,
Ensures you that He forgives;
It is not beyond your reach,
If you listen what I teach.
It is not up in Heaven,
Where it is truly given;
And you do not have to ask,
Or to do a certain task.
Who will go get this command,
For us to hear the demand;
So when it is heard obey,
Abiding by it each day.
It is not across the sea,
Costing nothing it is free;
Just obey when it is heard,
Abide each day in the Word.
This Word is very near you,
Always there to tell you true;
They are in your mind and heart,
So that your mouth can impart.
Hear carefully and obey
Be sure to heed what you say;
For God is offering life,
To ease the toils and strife.
A prosperous construction,
Not a death and destruction;
For what He is commanding,
Will give you understanding.
Always love the Lord your God,
Giving Him honor and laud;
Obey His laws and His rules,
While using the proper tools.
All the tools used as you think,
Thoughts clearly without strong drink;
And the tools within your heart,
Through each word that you impart.
Call upon Heaven and earth,
Witnessing what it is worth;
For this is the way to live,
For salvation God will give.
