A sacrifice brought by evil,
Is so disgusting to the Lord;
That has been brought by the devil,
And let it never be ignored.

The prayers from the decent people,
Are very pleasing to the Lord;
As He watches them in His temple,
They are living in one accord.

The way of the wicked people,
Is so disgusting to the Lord;
While scoffing at the Gospel,
Not showing that He is adored.

He loves who pursues righteousness,
And spiritually disciplined;
While living in godliness,
Intentionally has not sinned.

Discipline is a dreadful load,
A burden who leaves the right path;
Following where deception flowed,
But will be dying from His wrath.

Lie open in front of the Lord,
Showing Him much more of your heart;
Spread your wings as the eagle soared,
As dawning of the day to start.

A mocker likes not a warning,
That is being told by the wise;
Turning away from the mourning,
That is hidden that they despise.

A glad heart makes a cheerful face,
That has a joyful intercession;
But a sad heart feeling disgrace,
With a heartache comes depression.

The mind that has understanding,
As it searches for the knowledge;
Heeds to what God is demanding,
He will give you an advantage.

Better to have a little fear,
For righteousness God will measure;
While knowing that He is near,
Before inheriting His treasure.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
