Misunderstanding

Date:

Seek the Lord as He may be found,
Call on Him while He is near;
For He will not make any sound,
Very carefully you must hear.

Let wicked people quit their ways,
As the evil abandon thoughts;
Trying to trap the one that strays,
From all their enticing onslaughts.

Let them return unto the Lord,
And He shows compassion to them;
Confessions will not be ignored,
And no longer will He condemn.

Let them return to our God,
Because He will freely forgive;
If they show Him honor and laud,
He will then allow them to live.

For His thoughts are never as yours,
As your ways not the same as His;
Since you are tempted by the lures,
Fallible to stray in a whizz.

As Heaven is higher than earth,
So are also the ways of God;
Because His thoughts has much more worth,
And why they would never be flawed.

Rain and snow come down from the sky,
They stay until they soak the earth;
As the seeds sprout where they would lie,
While the sun is giving birth.

That produces food for to eat,
To be consumed by man and beast;
As animals provide the meat,
So man will be having a feast.

His Word comes from His tongue and lips,
And not come back without results;
Quenching the throat while one sips,
Through the prayers for someone consults.

It will accomplish what He wants,
To achieve what He is to do;
As any unbeliever taunts,
Understanding they misconstrue.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
