Revelation by Gospel

I just want you to know,
That the spread of Good News;
Is not for man to show,
A message with my views.

I did not receive it,
From another person;
Rather I believe it,
As revealed by the Son.

You heard about the way,
That I once did follow;
How I had gone astray,
As corruption did grow.

You heard how violent,
To persecute the church;
And being diligent,
Like a bird on its perch.

You heard I was ahead,
Of others of my age;
By doing wrong instead,
Of right within this stage.

I became passionate,
For the past traditions;
Being appropriate,
For causing afflictions.

But God appointed me,
Long before I was born;
Giving insight to see,
Where I was to sojourn.

God had showed me His Son,
For telling the people;
What the Father had done,
Leaving me the Gospel.

I talked not to others,
And never did go back;
But wanted my brothers,
To keep the Word on track.

A new revelation,
By spreading the Gospel;
Eternal salvation,
A gift to the people.
