If you faithfully obey,
The commands God is giving;
You no longer go astray,
In this life you are living.
So love the Lord our God,
Serving Him with all your heart;
Giving Him honor and laud,
Unto His Word to impart.
He will send rain on your land,
Both in the fall and the spring;
Making fertile of the sand,
For ample harvest to bring.
Gather your grain and new wine,
God will grow grass in the field;
As cows eat in the sunshine,
And crops produce a good yield.
Be careful of temptation,
That easily turns you away;
And would cause you frustration,
That would make you disobey.
God would be angry at you,
Shut off the sky from the rain;
Withering crops would reap few,
Causing you a hunger pain.
Take these words of mine to heart,
While keeping them in mind;
Never letting them depart,
If you lose you may not find.
Faithfully obey commands,
That God has given to you;
Follow all of His demands,
Through this life for to pursue.
Follow all His directions,
And remain loyal to Him;
Keep yourself from defections,
Never to be feeling grim.
No one can stand in your way,
Having the Lord by your side;
If you still trust and obey,
In God as well as abide.
