Teach the Truth

Date:

You know all about my teaching,
My purpose and my way of life;
My faith in all of my preaching,
Compiled with toils and strife.

But I have patience to endure,
With the kind of persecutions;
That temptations will try to lure,
In misleading contributions.

You know the kind of suffering,
Which has happened throughout the past;
Having much pain in enduring,
But was short lived and faded fast.

I have endured so much abuse,
As the Lord rescued me from them;
And will not accept an excuse;
While His judgment will condemn.

Some try to live a godly life,
Since they believe in Jesus Christ;
Have gone and cheated on their wife,
Seduction has made them enticed.

Evil people and fake preachers,
Cause you to go from bad to worse;
Misleading as phony teachers;
A sorcerer casting a curse.

Impostors want you to believe,
In everything that they say;
But actually they deceive,
That causes you to go astray.

Continue in what you have learned,
And found in knowing to be true;
The more you were taught the more earned,
In knowledge for you to pursue.

From infancy all you have known,
The Holy Scriptures that has told;
All of that which God does condone,
Reveals as His Word will unfold.

They have the power and wisdom,
So you are able to be saved;
So you can enter His Kingdom,
No longer to sin be enslaved.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
