Think Encouragement

Date:

We have to consider,
Just how to encourage;
Not making them bitter,
Feelings to acknowledge.

Show love to each other,
While doing good things;
Sharing one another,
All of which that life brings.

Go gather together,
With other believers;
Help in what they weather,
By comforting grievers.

If we go on sinning,
Because we never learn;
And cannot be winning,
Which could cause us to burn.

No sacrifice can take,
Destroying our sin;
Since the Lord will forsake,
The corruption within.

All you can do is wait,
For judgment and fire;
God determines your fate,
Doing your desire.

So what are you thinking,
If one shows no respect;
From excessive drinking,
That others will reject.

For the Son of God knows,
Who deserves or does not;
A blessing never flows,
Where corruption is sought.

God alone has the right,
Taking any revenge;
As the wrath of His might,
He will swiftly avenge.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
