Unshakable Things

Date:

Be careful you do not refuse,
To listen whenever God speaks;
Your relationship has values,
For things that everyone seeks.

Your ancestors did not escape,
When they refused to heed to God;
Found themselves in very bad shape,
When they did not honor and laud.

Jesus Christ warned them here on earth.
If we ever would turn away;
If condemned they would have much worth,
For they had been going astray.

His voice had been shaking the earth,
As He promised with a massive quake;
Since immoral delightful mirth;
Was so much fun for them to make.

Not only the earth but the sky,
Will they see everything shake;
Causing even the strong to cry,
Worried about the massive quake.

The words once again will show clear,
That God will change what He has made;
Striking the hearts of all with fear,
So that they will be so afraid.

Only what cannot be shaken,
Shall be all of which to remain;
Then many will feel forsaken,
Others possibly feel insane.

We must be thankful for this place,
In which never will be shaken;
Because since God has shed His grace,
So all people have awaken.

So we must always be thankful,
While serving the Lord with fear;
All that we do is delightful,
To our Lord that we hold dear.

Everything we do to please,
For meeting with His desire;
So that we will remain at ease,
Since God is a raging fire.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
