What Do I Need?

Date:

Praise God as the Father,
Of the Lord Jesus Christ;
Who is our Brother,
And had been sacrificed.

He is our Father,
Who is compassionate;
Has taken us farther;
For He is affectionate.

For He gives us comfort,
Whenever we suffer;
As His angels avert,
Worsening to buffer.

So when others are hurt,
We are never afraid;
To be there to comfort,
As an angel to aid.

For the Lord has given,
His blessing to bestow;
Flowing down from Heaven,
The comfort that will glow.

Glowing from His Spirit,
Giving us peace of mind;
Knowing our merit,
As to not to be blind.

Christ had suffered so much,
Causing Him strain and stress;
We can receive His touch,
Knowing that He will bless.

Suffering brings comfort,
Because of salvation;
Enables us to sort,
For evaluation.

As we evaluate,
We will build confidence;
So that we can equate,
Spiritual evidence.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
