The God of Truth

Date:

Whoever asks for a blessing,
Will be blessed by the God of Truth;
Those within His Word that do cling,
Will not ever become uncouth.

Whoever makes a commitment,
Swears to an oath within the land;
Will turn into their testament,
All of which the Lord would demand.

All past troubles are forgotten,
That would be hidden from their eyes;
Discarding all that is rotten,
That would be wearing a disguise.

He will create a new Heaven,
Along with creating a new earth;
All past things will be forgiven,
That will be bringing a new birth.

Be glad and rejoice forever,
In what He prepares to create;
A delight that will not sever,
A joy that will not hesitate.

Rejoice about Jerusalem,
And be glad about His people;
Because He will never condemn,
Enabled to know the Gospel.

Screaming and crying is not heard,
No longer the mournful pity;
All because of joy with His Word,
That is spoken through the city.

No longer an infant that dies,
Or men or women dying young;
For all have everlasting lives,
For all the praising that is sung.

They will build houses where to live,
Planting vineyards and eating fruit;
From the ground the nutrients give,
From a matured plant with deep root.

Wolves and lambs will feed together,
Like oxen, lions will eat straw;
No harm to birds of a feather,
As they will abide by His Law.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
