A Choice

Date:

Which of you men want a full life,
Live long to enjoy the good things;
And sharing it with a good wife,
That only a married life brings.

Keep your tongue from talking evil,
And your lips from speaking deceit;
Be not a pawn for the devil,
Pursue peace to make life complete.

The eyes of the Lord are on you,
He hears every word you say;
He knows all things that you construe,
And all the times you disobey.

The Lord confronts who do evil,
To erase memory of them;
Releasing them to the devil,
Because of having to condemn.

Righteous people are crying out,
And the Lord will hear their sorrow;
As He erases any doubt,
To give a better tomorrow.

The Lord is near to all of those,
Whose hearts are righteously humble;
The purity of love that flows,
Never once hearing them grumble.

He saves those whose spirits are crushed,
For the righteous have many woes;
And He ensures troubles are flushed,
The drain down into hell it flows.

The Lord will guard all of your bones,
So not one is ever broken;
Your illness is transferred to stones,
Through His words that He has spoken.

Evil will kill wicked people,
And those who are righteous they hate;
But Christ stated in the Gospel,
That they will be sealing their fate.

The Lord protects the righteous soul,
And all who seek refuge in Him;
He will help them to reach their goal,
By giving them spiritual vim.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
