Listen to my cry for aid,
Pay attention to my prayer;
Because I am so afraid,
What I am about to share.
From the far ends of the earth,
I call to You when I start;
Wondering what is my worth,
As I begin to lose heart.
Lead me to the highest rock,
A place that is above me;
Then I am able to talk,
On a one-on-one with thee.
You have been my sole refuge,
A fortress against my foe;
For I will never refuse,
Your commands where I should go.
I would like to be a guest,
Within your house forever;
Although I should not be blest,
For the bond I did sever.
You have heard all of my vows,
For refuge under Your wings;
Your inheritance endows,
I deserve not what it brings.
Add the days upon the days,
Onto the life of the king;
May his years endure the ways,
Of those who have feared Your name.
May he sit and be enthroned,
In Your presence forever;
May his wickedness be atoned,
Do as You would endeavor.
May Your mercy protect Him,
As I sing praise to Your name;
Giving me spiritual vim,
And continue to proclaim.
