A Word to Grow

Date:

Seek the Lord as He may be found,
Call on Him while He is near;
And listen for the gentle sound,
Honor and laud as you revere.

Let evil abandon its ways,
As wicked people forsake thoughts;
Guiding anyone back that strays,
That was considered as crackpots.

Let them return unto the Lord,
He will show compassion to them;
Because they have not been ignored,
And He will not either condemn.

Let them return to our God,
Because He will freely forgive;
Confess and He will heal where flawed,
So they can eternally live.

His thoughts are never what you think,
Since His ways are never your own;
Because of the poison you drink,
The Lord does not ever condone.

Heaven is higher than the earth,
So are the ways of our Lord;
His thoughts also have much more worth,
That are never to be ignored.

At times while the north winds blow,
Cold days as dark clouds fill the sky;
It is not rain rather as snow,
What the Lord did you cannot deny.

Rain comes down to water the ground,
Making the plants sprout up and grow;
Maturing without any sound,
To reap as to what we did sow.

So shall His Word from our tongue,
Will be like the rain and the snow;
The seeds from the mouth that are flung,
Shall enter the ear as to grow.

You will be going out with joy,
Guided being led out in peace;
For rebuilding, not to destroy,
Songs of joy that will never cease.

Remember the name of the Lord,
To be an everlasting sign;
For remaining in one accord,
Always in one with the Divine.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
