You get rid of a dream,
At the time you wake up;
Though as real as to seem,
As coffee in your cup.
To get rid of the thought,
Ask the Lord when you wake;
In your prayer as you sought,
As to never forsake.
Bitterness fills the heart,
Your mind seized with envy;
Overnight you impart,
Evil dreams to enjoy.
Immoral and stupid,
You did not understand;
Things that God does forbid,
That thoughts and dreams demand.
Like a dumb animal,
Being in His presence;
Repent of the dreadful,
Such ungodly essence.
But always with the Lord,
As He holds your right hand;
He is loved and adored,
Obeying each command.
With His advice to guide,
In the end God will take;
To glory as you bide,
For He will not forsake.
As long as you have Him,
No one else you will need;
Only joy never grim,
God helps you to succeed.
Your body and your mind,
May soon waste and decay;
But stay humble and kind,
As you trust and obey.
Those who are far will die,
Being near to God is good;
Your refuge where you lie,
Helping you as you should.
