Do you have a personal intimate relationship with Jesus and is He the Lord Master and Saviour of your life, and do you put God in first place before anyone or anything and only serve God, as seen in Matthew 4:10King James Version (KJV) 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Do I follow the Lord out of love for Him, or simply because I want to be saved?
Do I put religion before God? Have I made a commitment to give my life to Christ and only listen to the Holy Spirit’s teaching, or do I follow someone else’s teaching?
Do I go to church because I am forced to go there, or do I go to worship God?
Do I put God before money, ambition etc. and do I have idols in my life?
Do I seek to do God’s Will or my own will, and do I obey His Commandments? See Matthew 12:50 King James Version (KJV) 50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Do I give in and compromise and go along with the world, or do I refuse to give in and to be led astray even if it means I am unpopular and ridiculed by the world, or do I seek to go through the narrow gate whatever it entails?
Isn’t it important to truly give my heart to Jesus Christ and open the door and spend some quiet time with Him? See Revelation 3:20 King James Version (KJV) 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
See how the Holy Spirit teaches us the truth in the following passages and how we have to obey Jesus: 1 John 2:27(KJV) But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him, and John 16:13 (KJV) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come and John 10:27-30 (KJV) 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.
