The god within this place,
Has been blinding your mind;
Things what are a disgrace,
That are not very kind.
If you do not believe,
Then you see not the light;
Salvation you receive,
From glorious insight.
This is not about us,
It is on Jesus Christ;
Who is the Lord as thus,
That had been sacrificed.
As servants for His sake,
Servants of the same God;
Of the light He did make,
Who we honor and laud.
Light that shines through the dark,
Of glory from His face;
Lights where I will embark,
With favor shines His grace.
With bodies made of clay,
God conceives as treasure;
Formed to trust and obey,
For His joy and pleasure.
We are troubled and vexed,
Thwarted but not to quit;
For life can be perplexed,
Since I will not forfeit.
We are persecuted,
But are not abandoned;
And not prosecuted,
For I am awakened.
We have been a captive,
But we have not been killed;
Christ shows me how to live,
His teaching has instilled.
We will carry the death,
Of Jesus throughout life;
Till our final breath,
When we are free from strife.
